Please contact the surgery to make an appointment for your smear when it is due. You may make this appointment with the nurse or Dr Murdock. Please inform the receptionist when making the appointment that it is for your cervical smear as more time will need to be allocated for you.
A video that shows women what to expect when they attend for cervical screening has been produced by the Public Health Agency. It covers the complete screening journey including the invitation, the smear test, laboratory processing, results and attendance for colposcopy.
