SURGERY CHANGES

DUE TO CORONAVIRUS

From Monday 07 March 2022 the Doctors will be available to take calls between the times of

8.30 am and 10.00 am

and in the afternoon between

2.00pm and 3.00pm.

Please only call between these hours if you wish to speak to a Doctor or feel that you need an appointment.

Calls after 3.00pm will only be accepted if Urgent.

To help reduce the potential spread of infection, we are advising all patients to phone before coming to the surgery.

When you ring us, our staff will ask you some questions to determine your condition.  Some of these questions may include if you have a temperature or a cough.  These questions help us to determine the best action to take but also helps protect our staff and other vulnerable patients.

If appropriate, you may receive a call back from a GP or be given other relevant advice. If you are in need of medical attention or advice, please phone and speak to one of the Doctors.

Telephone Advice/Triage

If you wish to speak to the doctor or nurse, please telephone reception and give full details of the problem/query.  The receptionist will inform you when you can ring back or take your telephone number so that someone can return your call.  Patients requesting a same day appointment may be asked to speak to the doctor to ascertain if an urgent appointment is necessary.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Failure to keep an appointment causes inconvenience and denies other patients the opportunity to see the doctor. We operate a strict DNA (Did Not Attend) policy for patients who fail to attend booked appointments.
